I thought I would share some of my ideas for a more organized work area.
Some of you may already have this one.

This is the Great Planes Bench Topper, ready to use version.
You can buy it from Tower Hobbies complete with a glue and tools gift pack.

The next is my own creation.

just some mailing tubes with rocket company logo wall paper.

Please share your ideas as well.

A couple of years ago I managed to pick up these cheap from an electronics dealer that was getting out of parts

Each unit has 8 shelves with 3 draws per row. From memory, I paid $80 for the lot :)

I would shwo my organization system, but someone would have a seizure.

Just ordered the great planes bench topper. Will have to paint away the stripes though.

I use the area approach:
Pliers are in this area of the sea of tools, while screwdrivers are over on this side. Nose cones and body tubes are the only thing that I do not have to look for...
:(

I use all of the methods shown, shelves, drawers, peg boards, bins and pill bottles. I still can't walk into my work area, it's just too cluttered. What I need is a bigger work shop!

My workbench is a collection of organized spaces and yet it is still always messy. I still search for the perfect organizer. I know I will find it someday and it will have drawers...

I use the "it's in one of these piles somewhere" method. Of course SWMBO doesn't seem to like that method, so she replaces it with, "I put everything in a box somewhere in the garage/barn/spare bedroom" method. I do not recommend these methods. I end up buying a lot of stuff that I already own again and again....

That's not messy. This is messy.
