I don't know who was more enthusiastic, Me or the 3 yr old neighbor but the other night we (all the neighbors and I) were out doing what we rednecks in Pasadena do best - congregate in the street and BS! And we got to talking about the rockets I have and am building and I thought what the heck, so I dragged out the mini launch pad and controller, loaded up the Birdie with an A10-3T and let Tristan (said 3yr old) do the countdown and push the launch button! He literally almost jumped out of his skin when it left the pad! We went through a whole 4 pack of motors in the front yard! I think I know whats going to be under his Christmas tree this year!

I had alomst forgot how much fun these minis can be! All 4 flights landed right back within 10-20 ft of the pad!

Sounds like a blast! You'll have to take him and his parents to a launch to see the "big boy" rockets.

I invited them to the next club launch I'm going to in September when I go for my L1. Probably be a big entourage coming to that one. My parents want to bring my two nephews (10 and 11) and my wife actually said she will come! Good to see where all the money is going! maybe thats a bad thing!

That will be so cool to get your Level 1 with your friends and family there!

And nerve wracking as all get out! All expecting a picture perfect flight and recovery! Well and so will the RSO and Prefects!

Sounds like much fun for one and all.

Besides riding in my sidecar my oldest grandson who is 8 spends most of his time with me on the computer. No not playing games but watching model and big rockets launching. We have enough room in the sidecar and motorcycle to go launching rockets so we get the best of both worlds. Coarse the rig (motorcycle with sidecar) is the only way I have to go.
Here is my grandson from this past weekend with his first rocket we are building.

You're not a proud grandpa or anything, are you? That rocket looks so big next to him!
