Good medical insurance, I hope? Good disability insurance, I hope? Depending on his age, it sounds like might not be able to work anymore at all.
just got let go from his job 2 weeks ago, so I think he's on my daughters insurance plan, no disability insurance, 41 years old.Good medical insurance, I hope? Good disability insurance, I hope? Depending on his age, it sounds like might not be able to work anymore at all.
I took my wife into Vegas for cataract surgery. 8am show time. Which meant we left at 6:30am. Up at 5am. I had a little nap in the car while I waited. On the way back some speed demon passed me at, my guess, over 100mph. I was doing 80 and he just disappeared.
That hole in the heart might be treatable eventually. One of my mom’s brothers was born with one (along with a whole host of medical conditions including Down’s syndrome, autism, and intellectual disability) and he got a then-experimental surgery to close it up. This was back in the 60s or 70s I think.they are saying that the 10mm hole in the heart of my SIL was likely there at birth. He got moved down to the big hospital in Charlotte. Still have trouble talking but they said he might go home by the end of the week, then lots of rehab.

Have you thought of moving somewhere less wet? Unless, of course, you are a rain God and don't know it. In that case we will pay you to stay where you are.More rain. More trees down. More leaks to fix.
Council has graded our gravel road, but only re-graveled part of it. We now have a quagmire to go through 4-6 times a day. If it keeps raining until Saturday the road will be impassable. Again.

taking a bike on a plane?Finished completely setting up my newest bike (I had the shop cut the stearer tube though). This one is purely for road, particularly for climbing, with 46/33 chain rings with dual side powermeter; 10-36 cassette; electronic shifting; tubeless racing tires; carbon frame, wheels, crank arms, bars, pedals, seatpost and saddle...so much carbon. Ready to ride under 17 lbs. I took it for a 150 mile spin last Friday, and it is so much fun. The big test will be on our July trip to the Alps.

Yes, I have a hard side bike box. I'll only have to remove the wheels (they go in the box too) to pack it as it has narrow handlebars. Inside has foam pads, velcro straps, an anti-crush post and a nicely hidden Samsung Smart Tag for tracking. It counts as a normal check bag on most airlines as long as I keep it under 50 lbs, which it will be as my 19 lb bike went to Spain with me for a conference a few months ago.taking a bike on a plane?

It is so awesome. I have Sram Rival AXS on my tribike, so I'm addicted to eTap already. I tell everyone not to ever try a bike with it unless you are sure you are willing to pay for it on every bike after that moment. Won't make you one bit faster, but so smooth and easy...plus you can brake and shift simultaneously which is nice in certain situations. The SRAM Force AXS is SWEET!

Is it just me? Give me a Schwin three speed and I'm good.Finished completely setting up my newest bike (I had the shop cut the stearer tube though). Fingers crossed.I took my wife up to the hospital for a mammogram. Then they did an ultrasound too. Results tomorrow. She had a mammogram two weeks ago and the Doc wanted to have another. Think positive thoughts.
Nothing wrong with that! All depends on the use/goal. Admittedly, a three speed Schwin, with a pannier rack in particular, would be a far more versatile bike than mine. My bike is specifically built up for high % grade climbing over long distances. Right tool for the job. You wouldn't take a Toyota Corolla to the drag strip (despite it being an absolutely solid car), and no one is finishing the Tour des Stations Ultrafondo (which is the ultimate goal race this bike was built for) on a 3-speed Schwin. Is it just me? Give me a Schwin three speed and I'm good.
