Does anyone have any experience with West Texas Thunder? It is hosted by West Texas Tripoli and will be on May 1-3 this year.

I'm thinking about taking a few vacation days to go but have never been to an orgaized event bigger than my local NAR section, which is pretty small.

I sent an email to the adress listed at their site asking a lot of questions and have not heard back yet. It's still early, I only sent it last night. I'm just curious is anyone else has experience with this group and/or launch.

THanks,

John,

If ya don't get any response from the email link on the web site, you might drop a note on the club's Yahoo mailing list - it's probably monitored a lot more frequently: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wtr_online/

And if you join, look at the message traffic in April and May of last year - it should give you an idea of how things went if no one else replies. I wound up not going last year - took one of my teams to the TARC finals in Washington, instead. I'm also hoping to not go to WTT again this year, for the same reason. :D Otherwise, it sounds like an interesting time in our version of the desert!

Thanks. I'll check out the link and I do appreciate it. Good luck on TARC

John, this is a great event. Not a big crowd because of the location (in the middle of nowhere) but it's a great group and you'll have fun.

I'm looking forward to it and hope it comes off. I haven't had a vacation in almost 2 years except for a day I took to take my wife to the airport last year.

It's time.
