Vintage Estes Hawkeye build

Starting on some smaller projects, and the Hawkeye is a small rocket. Simple build, less than one hour. I let the glue dry over night and shot a coat of primer to seal the paper fins. After couple of hours, sanded the primer smooth and finished with Krylon grey. Finished adding the old decals today with no issues.

Great fun little rocket to build. Not so much to fly as it tends to disappear on the first or second flight

Been kicking around the idea of an upscale of one of these for a while now. I this this would be a great rocket in a BT60 tube.

There are others on the forum as well, including one more recent (not sure if it was BT60) that I can't quickly locate with searching.

I would agree this model really does benefit from upscaling, gives more room to add turbines and other details.
