I had a rather similar flight on Saturday. 'Cept mine belched fire for a good 2-3 after it hit the ground.
 
Right At Apogee! How did u get that delay so perfect? I must now your secret!;)
 
So what happened? Generally a blowby results in flames shooting out the wrong end, never seen anything like that.

Once my Talon 2 sat on the pad chuffing for several seconds before the delay lit and it sat there smoking for a few more seconds. Then the ejection charge fired.

Afterwards, I discovered that the shock cord had separated from the rocket. If it had launched, the body would have come down without a 'chute!

Im not sure what happened.The igniter went of with a loud pop with out lighting any of the motor at all.But there was enough force to eject the chute and crack the retainer.:surprised:
