How large are the images that are failing?
Somewhere the size limit is documented... I think it's maybe 1300 or 1600 pixels wide by some height I don't remember.
Also recall area 51 in the Misc section is the right place for test posts.
I wish the "Insert Image" button would be re-enabled.

I resize the image size to 300kb or smaller with irfanview.
