Most interesting new features to me:

Terrain matching during powered descent allowing hazard avoidance and greater accuracy - tens of meters landing accuracy vs a few kilometers with Curiosity

Supersonic parachute deployment will be based upon vehicle location instead of just strict adherence to velocity-based choice for deployment - result is 50% reduction of landing ellipse size even before terrain matching during powered descent

Video cameras pointed up and down during EDL - 1080p 120fps upward camera (showing parachute and parachute deployment); 1080p 30fps downward camera on descent stage (terrain matching and view of rover during sky crane lowering); one video camera looking up from the rover at the sky crane and sky and one looking downward.

Microphones for sound during EDL and on surface.

Fix for wheel punctures experienced with Curiosity will most likely be simply the use of thicker metal.

Ground penetrating radar on rover.

4 to 5 interchangeable drill bits.

Rocket blast landing debris resistance required of all instruments (Curiosity lost function of one of two wind sensors due to such damage)

They've been asked to study carrying a helicopter drone on the rover (no details given).

Curiosity rover - 900kg
