Little late for Fourth of July, but decorated along the theme.
For those getting tired of 3FNC rockets, this is the inverse, 3NCF
Three engine cluster. Two attempts today, one with A8-3s (two lit, barely got off the pad), second with B6-4s (two lit, adequate flight, probably would have been perfect if I had all three)
The A8-3 launch attempted with Pro Series igniters and a 12 volt system. Again only 2 of 3 ignited
The B6-4 launch with old Estes Solar black tips and a clip whip, again only 2 of 3 ignited.
I am going to pick up some First Fire Micros for next attempt.
Streamer recovery used, as the rocket body automatically orients horizontal once the ejection charges fire.

I tried my nighttime black background pics, with mixed success.

I like it, 3NCF! Are there three parachutes? How did you finish it, is that monokote or something metallic and adhesive? Have you considered E matches for the cluster ignition?

Thanks!
The tubes were finished with Mylar metallic tape. Same with nose cones (little tricky, but from 5 feet good enough.)
The ring tail was finished with monocote trim (self adhesive)

Each tube has its own streamer. The streamers support the weight of the nose cones, the geometry of the rocket makes it fall horizontal once the nose cones are off.

I have E Matches, the ones I have don’t fit in anything smaller than a D.

I want to try some FIRST fire minis
