This was an epic project I worked on over winter break. I attached a H123w motor to the back of a snow boat sled and road it down an icy road. Don't worry, we took many many safety precautions and we're sure to to much testing before. I was protected by 3 layers of thick coats, ear protection, goggles, ski helmet 3 layers of pants and solid boots. The sled has an inch thick backrest, and the motor was in a insulated paint can. The launch went absolutely perfect and was very fun!

Cool time for a bigger motor. Try an I-211

Yes, I'm planning sled 2.0 with a longer burn and more power.

Try adding some non nutritive cereal varnish.

What you are not protected from is the burn you will get from rocket motor plume should you get thrown from the sled.....

I'm sitting here giggling thinking about what would happen if you attached a K1127 to the back of that.

That looks like it would be fun with an L265. Twice the thrust and almost a ten second burn time.... :y:
