Hey, Yuri here.
I am trying to find a the maximum load fruity chutes can withstand but I have had no success. I am using a 120" Iris Ultra Compact Parachute and a 24" elliptical parachute.
Also I am trying to calculate the peak load my rocket will experience when it deploys it's drogue and main parachute, any info on this I would greatly appreciate it.
What I've used so far is a video from LabRat Scientific ("Parachute Opening Loads" ). The table below shows what I believe would be the shock for the drogue at different velocities. I don't know if the shock equation the video provides with is good for finding the shocks experienced by the parachutes at deployment.
