Since watching Dan Pollino you tube videos, I have become interested in building potasium nitrate and sugar PVC motors. I have been searching for a 30 degree cone to use as a tool to form the divergent part of the nozzle. my first attempt was to cast an epoxy cone in a paper cone. It looked OK, but I needed something more concentric, and I do not have access to a lathe. I ran across these wood cones and I think they will serve me well. Thet are 2 inches at the base and 3 inches vertical height. as close as I can figure they have a half angle of 18 degrees verses the ideal 15 degree half angle. Five of them placed one against the other makes a half circle. I think I will coat them with varathane to seal them and use a mold release. The cost is about a dollar apiece, part number is TRC-200 and the company is www.craftparts.com
