I know the answer, but want to verify. When using a Nomex chute protector 9x9 is it safe to use on a body tube between 2-3"? Some say up BT-80 size other sites say 12x12 from 3-4"

I would think a 9x9 is good for a 3" body tube

Sounds about right. For a 3" tube a 9x9 should be fine. Are you making your own? normally vendors recommend tube sizes for each of their chute protectors. Here is some info from Top Flight:

I want to build a 3" rocket and I do have a 9x9 just don't want to buy another blanket for the build.
