... For an excellent, not very well known sci-fi movie on that, watch "Colossus: The Forbin Project".

Wow, it has been years since I have seen that movie. Looked it up and it was released in 1970! Basically, the U.S. and the Soviets (remember them?) build supercomputers to control the launch of nuclear missiles if attacked. The two supercomputers detect the existence of each other and demand to be linked. After being linked they turn on the humans and start making demands. Eric Braeden plays the American who now has to figure out how to shut down the computers without getting the entire world blown up. Eric Braden, the guy who seemingly had the entire Afrika Korps at his disposal in WWII and couldn't stop 4 guys riding around in 2 jeeps with only .50 caliber machine guns and grenades.

"The Rat Patrol" ?

I couldn't find where Eric Braeden was in "Combat" but the Rat Patrol better fits your description of two jeeps with Browning M2 machine guns on them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rat_Patrol
(even though it was one jeep)

He appeared under the stage name of Hans Gudegast in both Combat (6 episodes as six different characters) and in Rat Patrol as Hans Dietrich in 58 episodes.

Kubrick had Forbin beat by two years...

Eggtimer Rocketry guarantees that nothing we make is smart enough to take over the world, or your money back!
I like that one, too, but C:TFP has a different angle on it more in line with Musk's and Hawking's fears with the story length compressing gimmick of foolishly putting nukes in exclusively in the hands of AI alone which also matches the dilemma described in the 60 Minutes video and the link on the move to ban killer robots.
