yay i have a wood lathe no more paying too much $$$ to someone else. it was $70 it can do pieces 1meter long and 400mm in diameter, i have attached a pic of the lathe and here is a link to a pic of my first(good) nose cone it fits 2" PML QT
first cone good
and the best thing is that i only have to pay half as my dad is paying the other half, now i just have to get a decent set of tools, right now i just using a few chisels i found around the house.

BTW i have cleaned all the dust and bits up :D

Nice!...I have a lathe that is about 2 meters long...I need to get it working...it has been sitting in my basment for a while
 
Very cool, should save you a bit of money in the long run.
 
very nice! Just keep your chisels SHARP and your progress slow and deliberate. Balsa can be a bear if you don't respect it :)
 
thanx guys. Jim i used sand paper glued to a peice of wood for the balsa stuff.
