I wonder how long it will hold up in the weather.. Is it stick on with a glue type backing or do those stick more like static and can be peeled off easily?

It's a static stick. I have seen so many cars with the softballs and baseballs, and always thought it would be neat to have one with a rocket. Then one day, at a local Dollar General store, I see one with a golf ball, and, I knew I could make it work. I used a flourescent tube protective cover for the body tube, plexiglass for the fins, cut the end off a used F20 single use and epoxied it to the protective tubes end, and sealed the nozzle with a bit of epoxy. After cutting the tube at an angle, I epoxied the finished works over the golf ball, and that's it. I haven't road tested it yet though. But, I can slap it on when we go to a launch if needed.

That's pretty funny.
You're right- It does break up the monotiny of baseballs and softballs.

I simply left the half of a plastic golf ball in place, and epoxied the tube to it.
