Guys...Help....
I'm aghast... and I'm completely lost...
My dog, who shouldn't get out of the fence, but does occaisionally... has really formed a bad habit.
For the second time lately... she comes home with some
other dogs, dog toy. The first time is was sorta cute, I didn't
think a whole lot about it... Today, she came home with a new toy, still in the package... (Don't ask!!!... I'm praying that she isn't shoplifting).
How does one deal with this...???
I mean, I can't explain to her that it's wrong... she's a dog...
dogs don't listen for dookey... I can't punish her for it either... She wouldn't know why she was being punished... dogs can't comprehend concepts like that.
I can't return the toys... I don't know where she's getting them.
I don't want to let her have them either. It would be wrong in human terms... I mean...what if a neighbor notices she has the toy that they just bought for their own pet...??? I can't put a sign up saying "recovered dog toys" either. If I were to do that, then she'll have a public record... at least in our neighborhood (and that's the one that counts)...
I thought my 12 year old son was getting hard to deal with...
Anyone else ever had a situation like this... what should I do...???
