Loc Ultimate Mini with interchangeable 7 MMX cluster mount.

The original Ultimate has a 7X29mm motor mount.
The Ultimate Mini has a stock 18mm mount.
Made the stock mount interchangeable and scratched a 7 motor MMX mount using a cut off 18mm engine casing and a coupler.
Still nekkid, hasn't maidened yet.
(PS motor mount retention is tape wrap).

Any tips/experience with lighting a micro maxx cluster that big? Offhand I would think it would be quite a challenge. My Diminutive Deuce is hard enough to get both igniters lined up with the rocket straight on the rod...

Not speaking from experience, cuz I have very little.
Going to try the MX standard igniter and a 14.4 v. power source.

I'm moreso talking about fanangling seven MMX igniters into seven teeny little nozzles.

Regardless please do let us know how it goes if/when you try that out.

I think you'd need to build a guide to hold the igniters in position, then set the rocket down onto it.

I seem to recall a tip about using the broken off tips of toothpicks to hold igniters in place.
Don't know if that came from the instructions or elsewhere.
Otherwise, I have a small roll of thin Nichrome wire I can use to make extra long igniters. Just have to mash the tip and lower the resistance.

Thats a lot of action for micro.........
Flash pan is cool loved it when I was a kid but never heard of anyone else using it. Lots of my rockets when I was a kid were burnt from this.

I suspect that you might get more altitude from the energetics of the flashpan than a full ignition of the cluster

I have a scaled down Ultimate. BT-60 with 7 13 mm mounts. Goes like the proverbial bat on 3 D40 Rx motors. Never tried 7

Try small pieces of styrofoam jammed in...they improve the ignition of regular motors, so I'd guess the same here.
