My attempt at an R/C glidable Hound Dog missile. Lots of concessions to scale accuracy for glide, CG, landing strength, simplicity and light weight but I think it will capture the essence. BT-80 based and uses 6mm and 9mm depron for structure.
Overall length is 42 in, 2.6 in diameter, 20 inch wingspan, Weight is looking like it should be well under 12 oz ready to fly and I'll use the preferred E-6 in the main body tube.
I'm just waiting on another shipment of tubes to finish construction. Here are pics of the simple openrocket model I used for mass balancing and equpiment placement, weight and wing placement and to optimize cg without needing nose weight. Rail buttons, battery, receiver, servos, servo extensions, and glue are all modelled here. the curved portion in the turbojet pod should be on the bottom, it is there just for weight, I can't figure out how to add that to a tube fin, but no biggy.
