This is the image of the APOLLO landing sites, taken by the ISRO Lunar Surveyor "Chandryaan 2" . . .

Since this was, obviously, taken after the Apollo missions returned to Earth, only the Base of the LEM was left behind.

Take a look at the "shadows" and share you thoughts on what you see.

I'm no expert in interpretation of photos, but the long shadows caused by the angle of the sun would seem to account for difference between the actual height of the LEM base and the length of the shadow. Look at the proportions of shadow/light in the small craters. That's consistent with the 3-4x magnification of the shadow.
 
I am curious as to what vertical surfaces on a LEM base, by itself, would create those shadows at the right side of the image ?
