Iron on letters on a parachute

Greetings! I was wondering if someone could help me out with a parachute problem. I would like some custom lettering on a high power parachute. I was wondering if iron on letters will affix to parachute material ok. Has anyone tried this before?

This will all depend on the transfer vinyl. I have done a few streamers and parachutes using siser HTV and a press with no problems.

If the parachute is nylon, perhaps you could use a stencil and spray paint? like Krylon ColorMaxx.
