Launched by Rocket Lab's Electron rocket, "Humanity Star is a passive satellite, a geodesic sphere similar to a disco ball about 1 metre (3 ft) in diameter, designed to produce flares visible from Earth". Reports are that it is barely naked eye visible (mag 4.5) at best to naked eye invisible (easily visible through binocs) except for intermittent, extremely bright (mag -1 to -2) flashes.
