I don't know why this hasn't been done yet. There was one in the works to be released last year, but IDK what happened?

Hogan's Heros Movie- Who would you cast?

Schultz: John Goodman for sure.

Not sure who would be young enough to cast for the other actors parts.

this is a hard one my friends,dad and I have debated this one on many backpacking trips,we always come to the same conclusion we can't think of anyone that could recreate the Hogan-Klink dynamic.

Maybe I'm crazy....of course I am! But this guy, Christopher Heyerdahl, who plays John Druitt in Sanctuary, looks like a good candidate for Klink. I wonder if he could pull off the accent though. The guy looks the part.

I thought about this years ago. At the time, I thought Matthew Broderick would have made a perfect Hogan. But he's kinda old for the part now. Nonetheless, I think he's got the elan to pull it off.

Didn't scroll down see all of the suggestions, so as not to affect my choices.

A few cast ideas:

Colonel Klink: Patrick Stewart (He may have once done an impersonation on a talk show, not sure. But I am sure he could knock this out of the park).

Newkirk: Matt Smith (11th Doctor Who).

Frauliene Helga: Heidi Klum. She already has 40% of the name.....and 100% of the accent.

General Burkhalter: Robin Williams

Colonel Crittendon (was played by Bernard Fox): Hugh Laurie (who was better known for comedy before he got the "House" gig)

Maybe I'll come up with a few more, later. Indeed it is tough to think of suitable actors for the other parts who would not be too old to portray captured allied fighter and bomber pilots. Then again there are 30-year olds playing High Schoolers, so why not 40-50 year old POW's?

Of course, unless a new Hogans Heroes movie was totally 100% botched from the start, it'd have to be a semi-comedy, at least. If it was done "straight", there's no point in doing it. Some serious actors could pull off a semi-comedy, others, not so much.
