I am in the market to replace my 16 year old range box. Curious what everyone is using OR is dreaming about.

Compartments? Lightweight? Large? Adaptability? Durability?

What's everyone have or want? Pics speak volumes of course!!!

I just use a plastic tote I got at Walmart. I put my motors and anything else specific to HPR in it. I use another tote for 18mm LPR motors and another tote for 24mm motors. I use a tackle box for hauling everything else for LPR and HPR.

For me, on the stackables it came down to cost, and features. I really liked the Milwaukee from Ace Hardware and Northern Tools, and the Rigid, as I liked that open air basket stack option. and I like the Harbor Freight Baur and the Sears/Craftsman. Versastack But the reason I picked Hart at walmart is because I could get the 3 piece stack for close to the same price as the base stack for the others, and still had multiple add on options as I needed them, and locally available.

Two points to throw out on the table, based on almost 30 years in the hobby:
1.) Buy a bigger range box than you think you need.
2.) Buy a range box that has wheels and a handle that allows it to be rolled.
You won't be sorry for either one.

Best post yet. Those were pretty much must haves. I really want one of those stack systems.

My range box contains items needed to fly, like vials of BP, glue, HobbyLine closure tools, etc. My tool box has all the actual tools like pliers, wire cutters, stripers, screwdrivers, snap ring pliers, etc. The H-K reloads are in another container, another for motor cases 29 - 54mm, an ammo can for G-M igniters, etc. This has worked well, but it's also a habit and what I've fallen into.

Anyone have suggestions for an organizing scheme for parts, tools, reloads, cases, electronics, igniters, etc. I know where everything is, how to pack my truck bed, etc. but I feel like I could probably do thing better.

I second Worsaer. Started using the the Rigid gen 1 system a few years back and now I am adding gen 2 stuff to the collection. All backwards compatible. Great for a one day stint or a full weekend. Lots of options and its waterproof (gasketed) if throwing in the back of a truck or the weather turns south.

It was a 3 pack for the price of 2 of them. It came with the drawers and that is amazing in the rocket lab.
