Guided/stabilized model rocket

Has anybody built a guided or auto stabilizing model rocket? How could this be done? How would the aerodynamics of actuating fins? How would thrust vectoring work?

Extremely cool. But why don't they sell the software???

For vertical landing "simulation", perhaps I could attach a big parachute to my flip flyer, so the wings are then landing legs instead...mmm...
 
Having seen in another thread the OP wants to develop a guided rocket to try to hit another object in the sky (home in on another rocket), I have deleted what I posted here.

And I encourage everyone else to NOT HELP HIM.

He crossed a very dangerous line by expressing that as his intent.
