Okay, let's do it right this time.
My dad and I have been plotting this for a while, and we want to see what people think about it. We are trying to get a rocketry website going, called T Minus Fun Rocketry. What we are trying to do is sell the very basics of high power at low cost, so you've got more to put into the motors. Shear pins, rivets, screws, railbuttons etc at discount prices. Since we are not completely diving into this just yet, I set up a bit of a sample site:

Tminusfun.webs.com

What's happening now:
We are going to begin excepting pre orders of a kit I designed called the cert specialist. I designed it around being used for L1 and possibly L2 certifications. It's three inches in diameter, 50 inches tall, has a 38mm mount and a plastic nosecone. It is being offered for $50+15 to ship it. I think that's a fair deal. We are working on a dual deploy version, but for now, it's single deploy only. If you do pre order one of these kits, you will receive a coupon for 15% off a custom decal for it from Mark at Stickershock23.com It will take 15% off any custom decal you want for this rocket, you want letters, flames, anything he can make, you get 15% off! Sweet deal! I say G-J power, but for it to fly on J power, it must be built strong. The fins should be reinforced in some way. I'll let you decide how. The first run will be 10 kits. I plan on opening the pre orders for these sometime next week. I will keep it open for a couple days, or until all 10 kits are paid for.

When we are able to stock more items, we will open the real website. Small items ship free. Kits cost $15 to ship and other items are $6.95 to ship.

If people continue to buy our stuff, we will look at becoming dealers for various companies, to expand our inventory, and also become our clubs first vendor! Whoo!

Oh, one kit is tentatively paid for.

If you want one, speak up!

They are not only reserved for people attempting their L1 or L2, That's just a suggestion, if you want a new bird at a cheap price this will do it!

you even made a new account braden?

Where do you plan on getting tubes from, plastic nosecones?

just curious

Yep, that's how hopeful I am

Everything but the fins will come from PML. I'm cutting the fins myself, hence the reason I don't want to do more than ten at a time.

sorry nm I'm being a pain. Can't wait to see the first build thread on these. Have you built and flown this particular model? what kindof altitudes can we expect? I know its not setup for dual deploy but is there a avbay to hold electronics.

This one exactly? No, but one very similar, the fins were the same shape, just a little bigger.

Rocksim based altitude simulations, in 8-14 MPH wind, vertical launch angle, medium cloud coverage. six foot rail shows as follows:
G64-7W ~1900 feet
H123-10W ~2900 feet
I300-10T~4900 feet
J350-10W~8900 feet and a fin warbling 820 MPH
The altitude readings came out pretty consistent. :eyepop:

It looks great, but I just got my first MPR. I will think about it if I need something to use some G reloads on. Good price. How tall/wide is it?

3 inches in diameter, and about a quarter inch short of 50 inches

Okay everyone, The sale has been extended to Saturday, March 12th.

Since a few of you have been concerned about the design, I have ordered one, and I will document the build and flight. I know it's hard to buy something you haven't really seen. So I'm going to make it easier on all of you!

Remember, the first three ordered will receive a free shock cord to go with the kit. Just build and throw in a parachute, and it's ready to fly!
