Catching up and tripping all over myself.
I want to build my Corona so that it can take an 18mm or 24 mm engine.
Since the Corona has the OD of .976" (bt50) and it comes with the standard components to build it as an 18mm rocket (two CR50-20, BT20 motor tube, BT20 engine block). I'm thinking all I'll need is a 4" piece of BT50 coupler tube and a 24mm engine block (cut from a spent motor).
Proposed proceedure:
Glue the 24mm engine block in the main tube so that an E engine protrudes about 1/4". (I can use tape to hold the motor in place.)
Mount the 18mm components inside the BT50 coupler. (Realizing that some parts will require sanding for proper fit!)
This should allow the adapter to slip in and out, again it can use tape as motormount/motor retention.
I know this is simple (?) stuff, and I'm thinking this should work, but I've never done it before and once you glue it in...
Thanks in advance for the input!
