Not a bad match IMO. This just shows the early roots for this newer kit - Estes' nod to the Centuri Mini Max line of the 60's. They ought to make a "old timer" type kit or two for the "new mini max" motors: E9/E12/F15. The Reflector looks to me like a down-rated L'il Hustler with Jaguar fins.

I recognized the resemblance too.
That was part of the reason I picked up the Reflector kit.
I should look and see if the face card paint is like the old Mini Max catalog scheme.
Maybe the name "Reflector" means a reflection on the old designs?
The Estes "Centuri" kit looks a little like an older Centuri design, especially the roll patterns decals.
 
Yes, definitely. I didn't think that among such folks that I'd be the only one to notice.

The face card has "the look", but isn't some sort of exact copy. But the resemblance pops right out, at least for some of us. Kudos to Estes...
