Estes Protostar side pods in OpenRocket

I found a RockSim file for the Estes Protostar. Loaded it into OpenRocket, it gave a warning that something couldn't be loaded. It was obviously the pods at the tips of the fins.

I can't figure out how to add the pods back in. Not necessarily looking for an accurate representation, just maybe some BT-20 w/nose cones will likely give a reasonable estimate in the sims.

Ideas?

You are probably opening the file in an older version of OR; which does not support pods. Try the latest beta and the pods should work. https://openrocket.info/downloads.html?vers=22.02.beta.05

I'm using Beta 5, but I don't see how to add the pods.

Pod import from Rocksim is spotty. But you can certainly add them yourself.

Pod sets are added to body tubes. You can then add what is basically a complete rocket underneath the pods. Use this file as a guide.

OK, got it. Thanks. I was under the assumption that the "pod" item in the Assembly Components menu could only be used initially, when a design was first being created. Didn't realize that i could add them on later.
