May I ask, what's the length of the 2.5" upper tube? I've got parts to clone this later this summer. I had a slotted 2.5" that I just cut the slots off, but it's definitely still too long.

The upper tube is 7.5" long.

When I build my second Ventris I’ll probably stretch the payload bay but you don’t have to, it’s fairly straightforward to open up the nose cone base and upper transition shoulder - it makes the payload section bay plenty big enough. The instructions don’t treat the upper section as a bay at all, the callout tells you to glue the transition and nose cone to the tube.
