For you super rocket-nerds who are into NASA launch vehicles, especially stuff from the 50's and 60's, I just got the DVD set for you! The name of it is: Liftoff: Success and Failure on the Launchpad. I bought it from www.astronomynowstore.com, and with shipping it was just around $39. This two disc set is jam packed with over 6 hours of NASA, Air Force, and other footage of everything from Goddard's rockets all the way to STS-1. Included are rare Air Force documentaries on the Thor and other missle programs, rare German and White Sands V-2 footage, Wallops Island sounding rocket footage, and footage of just a bout every major 50's and 60's ballistic missle and launch vehicle--plenty of successes, and plenty of failures:D. All the footage has detailed commentary as well as multiple views of most launches. If you're into space vehicles, ballistic missles, and their history, this DVD is for you!
