AstroCam on Custom Viking

I know what y’all are gonna say, the instructions advise against mounting in a rocket smaller than BT-50, but I was curious what it would do in a smaller size. Well, it worked, sorta…………….
I flew it in my custom Zephyr Jr. Micro (from a Viking kit) on a B6-4.

FYI, I don’t see myself trying that again!

I put a regular keychain 808 camera on a Viking, and it does really spin quite a bit. I just taped it on the side near the nose cone.


An Amazon is a bit better, low and slow flight. I made a cardstock shroud for this one.
