I'm working on a custom built av bay for a 6" diameter rocket and I'm having trouble finding 6" coupler material that isn't $100+ shipped, so I'm considering using a fiberglass coupler since it costs about the same and is more durable.

Has anyone done this and if so, any issues or watch outs?

I have done it on a 6" diameter rocket. had to do a lot of sanding to fit but have not had any issues at all.
