I have a 1/4" scale Patriot missal that increased in size and added dual deployment and I have a 3" Sudden Rush...my question, where do I mount the camera ie on the middle section of the deployment that never releases? Or do I mount near the CG? Thanks for your input

Cool, a selfie stick for a model rocket! A real blast from the past.

You might need to put a balance weight on the opposite fin or a drag disc of similar frontal area on the end of a similar stick to keep it flying straight. Check the overall balance and stability with a swing test since you are adding aft weight.
