I don't think this has ever happened to me before.
Last week I was out for a launch. Launched the Mini Fat Boy on an Estes A3T.
It went up nicely, arced over the top, as I counted 1, 2, 3, … 4, 5, uth oh! Nope ejection charge never fired! Lawn Dart.
Fortunately it was a Min Fat Boy, pretty 'draggy' it survived the impact. If it had been something a little sleeker it would have pile drived.
I was thinking I put an A3-0 in their by accident. Tonight I finally got around to pulling the spent casing from the rocket and the clay plug was still intact!
First time for everything.
