There was somebody at RocStock last weekend that had a whole rocket that was created on a 3D printer. It was very cool, especially the one-piece motor tube, launch lugs, and fin can (it was min-dia 18mm with a streamer, about 12" long).

Yep I've made a bunch of 3D printed rocket parts.

Sleds with mounting places for certain altimeters

Diamond airfoiled fins with a radial taper.

Most commonly. Rail Buttons. Airfoil, standard, 1010, 1515. Printed one 10x scale on accident.

3D printers are wonderful machines. Wish I owned one.

hahahahahahahahahahahah

You could use that for your mega squat.

It would be fun to have a pair of giant rail buttons on there just for show, would cause plenty of double-takes I'm sure!

and has someone tried the makibox one for rocket?
let's face it $200 is quite cheap for such printer

Not I. My college had a makerbot. I hate it. It's nice for an inexpensive machine.

I would try it. Read some reviews. I bet YouTube has some videos of it. I am sure it would be fine for most hobby uses.
