I am looking for a 29mm nose cone for a project I am building out of parts from a club swap meet. The only one that I have found is from Apogee Components. Are there any other sources for this size nose cone?

PML resin conical, relatively heavy
Estes So Long
Fiberglass ones that used to pop up at Madcow or Wildman

Ken at performance hobbies still has a 4:1 gelcoat fiberglass cone, unless he sold it already. He had 2 and I bought the other one. It might be a bit oversized for cardboard, but a little sand paper should take care of it.

I grabbed one of those many many years ago , it is a tiny bit larger then a 29mm Motor Tube, but was nothing I would worry about.

You could try Composite Warehouse. The owner is known to flake out on orders, so you're best bet would be to call and see what they actually have in stock and could ship the same day.

Note that Apogee's nose cone is for their thin-wall "29mm" tubing, which is equivalent to what everyone else calls "30mm." It has the same 1.14 ID as "29mm motor mount" tubing, but a 1.18 OD, rather than the 1.21 OD of the motor mount tubing.
You might want to check the OD of the tube you got at the swap meet. If it's the Apogee tube, go with the Apogee nose cone. (I know they sell it as parts, as I've bought one in the past.)

Specifically, Quest and BMS also market 30mm tubing that is likely the same as the Apogee stuff, within production tolerances for paper tubes. eRockets has some Quest stuff available. Otherwise, the only place I know to buy it is Quest/AT directly.

I made molds to make this NC in fiberglass, 5.5:1 Ogive. I also have molds for a 29mm Parabolic. PM me if one of these will work for you. George T

I ended up getting the PML 29mm nose cone. It is shiny black, so I do not even need to paint it.

Repaired some slight damage to the carbon fiber tube with epoxy and extended it with some thin wall fiberglass tube

To match up the diameter of the tubing I wrapped the fiber glass tube with masking tape and glued a BT55 tube over it. This gave a fairly close match. There is slight lip where the tube meets the nose cone, not too bad.
