Oh and to answer your question, OP, I like to cut out the slots by hand with a hobby knife. If I get impatient, I'll hack (carefully) away with a razor saw and clean it up nicely with sandpaper. The razor saw only comes out with the thicker walled body tubes.

How easy is it to sand this stuff? The main reason why I use FnF or wood putty is that it's so easy to sand. By the way, I found that lightweight drywall putty work very well too. It's a bit expensive for the amount you get though.

What did you use for the rivets? Did you use small dots of glue?

I agree with the above comments. I'd go for three outboards simply for the ease of TTW fin installation. And powder's comment with dry fitting the aft CR is a great tip. I use this exclusively on my TTW rockets, and the great thing is that you get full access to the innards and have all the time...
