Zippering is when the shock cord rips thru the body tube. Most often due to a "high speed" chute ejection. I use 550 on my 3-4" rockets. Work well. For low power we use braided masonry twine from lowes. Alpha size rockets we use about 5 feet and Big Bertha or Blue Bird Zero size rocket...
