I just picked up a Baddazz Mizz Rhonda from Shane B for a smoking deal. I am very impressed with the kit, it has some very cool features. First thing I will do is work on the fins and fillets, then some paint, and finally electronics. Hope to have this finished soon but I still need to buy an altimeter. Here are some pics of how I received it.

Those tailcones sure are pretty....though it won't be, once it's flown. But that's okay. That's what they're there for! :)

Looking forward to this!

Me too, I cant wait to fly it to 10K! Eric what primer/paint is best for pvc?

It sure is pretty and I am sure some elbow grease should clean it up after each flight.

Did you repaint that Nike Smoke? It looks a lot shinier than I remember it. Mizz Rhonda looks to live up to her Badazz name too. Are you gonna make it to the launch tomorrow?

A light coat of vaseline prior to flight really helps!

Fusion is perfect. If you don't like their colors spray with White fusion for the bond and follow with regular paint.

Yes I did, that is why I need a decal. I dont think I will make the launch since I have to work tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for the advice Eric, I cant wait to finish it and fly it. I am still debating on what altimeter to go with and I am saving my pennies for black friday/saturday sales.

Started sanding today and payload is ready for primer. But I still need to do some work on fillets and make them nicer. It also appears that only one tab was installed on each fin, need to get some pvc scrap and finish the tabs on the fins. Man I love how easy it is to disassemble this rocket.

I have almost every one of Eric's rockets and I use nothing but rust oleum grey seal and fill primer and then paint with Dupli-color automotive paint. The colors and finish are amazing.

I looked at your thread before getting my primer but could not find the one you used. Instead I used rustoleum primer sealer and it came out great. I just wish my paint job looks at least half as good as your lol!

Thanks again Shane

Thanks Eric for the great support, and yeah Shane got me covered. I will be buying one of your fiberglass kit within the next few months, I am just waiting for the bigger stuff

Payload already primed and sanded with 500 grit. Still working on making the fillets nice and smooth. Also, still debating on what color scheme to go with.

Got some more work done and primed the fincan. I still need to spray another coat and sand it more. Also, while I was sitting outside mailman came and droped off the stickershock decal Shane sent me. I was thinking painting the body purple, the fins and nosecone silver, and putting the white decal in the middle.

OK I decided to go with just purple and make it simple. Thanks to Jiffycoil for the tips on the paintjob. Here is a pic and will post more tomorrow.

Nice looking paint job Juan. Looks to good to fly out in the desert. Not that it would stop you. I hope "Coppertop" comes out that good.

Thanks Wayne, I don't even want to touch it lol! I am sure yours will come out great, your an awesome painter!

Wow Beautiful Job!!!!

Thanks! You did a beautiful job designing this rocket.
Love the purple, Juan! Nice!

I love it too and it looks a lot better with the retainer and hardware.

Sweet looking purple! Me like!

Thanks!

So I finished putting it together and it looks awesome! The tailcone retainer and hardware really makes it stand out. I knew I had to give another coat to the payload since its lighter than the fincan. I will tomorrow and put on the stickershock decal.

Ok so I did another coat on the payload and now the booster looks lighter lol! I put the decal but got some bubbles, but you can only tell up close. It came out OK, I could of done a better job if I was more careful. The paint looks real nice when the sun hits it. I still need to get the AV bay done, recovery system, and put the tabs inside the fins.

Rhonda says, " Cool I Like the Color"!! She also threw in some "awes" and an "oh" or two!
These Builds really touch her.:smile::smile:
Once again Great job!

Don't be too hard on yourself Juan, that's a very nice paint job. Sometimes the bubbles just go away after a while. From where you will be launching that BaddAzz rocket, no one will notice anything anyway.
