I acquired this old plane on eBay for a decent offer and I am going to finish for flight. I know I am going to apply a thin coat of balsa sealer to smooth it out a bit but trying to decide if I want to paint, or just leave it as is. I found a picture online with an old one built with just the nose cone painted. I have some old flat Pactra dope I could use for red glider with black nose...….I will have think about this. I have the original kit still in the bag, and will someday build that one.
I plan on finishing this rocket before moving onto my next vintage build.

Hi Scrigs. For lightweight color you might consider using Design Master Colortool spray. I get mine at Michaels craft stores. It really does add very little weight. I have used it on my freeflight aircraft, particularly tip launch and catapult gliders.
