Are you on the fence?

Can't decide whether or not to attend LDRS 38 this year at the rocket pasture in Argonia, Kansas? Well let me put your mind at ease. There will be ice cold treats, smoked corn, pulled pork and other great food. Bags of ice from range open to close. LOTS of vendors and LOTS of people to meet and talk to. Loads of parking and camping area and much more. Rumor even has it that Tripoli Houston is throwing a party there.

Are there trees you ask? Well yes, there are a few trees per square mile but you'll be hard pressed to land in one. It does happen on rare occasions though. I guarantee you there is FAR more dirt that will gladly hitch a ride home on your legs than you will find bugs and critters. Wear it as a badge of honor! The bugs are almost non-resistant in my experience. They can't ake the heat I think. Yes, it can get a bit hot so ALWAYS keep some water with you. I said ALWAYS keep some water with you. Got that? Okay...

Take a look at the video below to see just how amazing this field is and why this site has hosted LDRS more times than any site in recent decades. Simply put, the KLOUDBusters Argonia, KS Rocket Pasture is an AMAZING place to launch high power rockets, all the way to 50,000 feet AGL. Come join over 400 like minded people for an amazing rocketry event.
You will not regret it, so we'll see you there!

I agree. I went for the first time last year, and right away when I heard about LDRS 38, made plans to return.

Kloudbusters always has Airfest on Labor day weekend, so they combined the two. AirFest is fun to begin with, then you add LDRS...:eek::D

My heart aches that I cannot attend. Every year I hear about Airfest and I dream of going. Unfortunately, with my work schedule, I'll never be able to make it until I retire.
So that means that y'all are morally obligated to attend, post videos, and allow me to live vicariously through you...
Obligated.
Go. Fly rockets. Post videos.
Got it?

I hope that one year they decide to hold Airfest on a different weekend rather than Labor Day. The first year they do, I'm going to the Diamond Drag Boat Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO.
I use to have to drive past the speedway on Hwy 54 on my way out to Airfest. It was painful watching all the motor homes and coaches towing trailers headed the other way because I knew exactly where they were headed.

Been attending Airfest since 2010. Not flying as much the last couple of years, but I still go for the camaraderie and cool flights! By next year I believe I'll be "back on the horse" and flying like a madman!

Scott just drive up to Madison, IN in early July. That's the race you should attend! https://www.madisonregatta.com/ Not too far for you... Great little town!

I haven't looked but I'm pretty sure that is a LOT more than the 6hr drive to Argonia. It looks like a great time, but I'm more of a nitro guy and Wheatland is a little less than a 3 hour drive. They have a Sprint car track there too but nitro is about the only thing that would derail me from attending Airfest. :p
It's about the closest thing there is to a rocket launch. They even have parachutes! LOL

Yup, I'm in the same boat. I have to be back at work the Wed before labour day...

Not this year but I am trying to build something for next year if I can ever find time to work on it.

Well, to be honest, LDRS is not held every Labor Day. AirFest is every Labor Day. Just that this year they're combined. Last year LDRS was in May I think...
I went to AirFest for the first time last year. And now I know what I've been doing wrong all those years before... Not going to Airfest. ;)
