I was just wondering if any members here were associated with SEARS 572.

There is a launch scheduled for this coming Saturday 7/13/19 but the weather is a bit iffy.

I was hoping to attend this event and meet some like minded folks. Crossing my fingers :D

Hi, Tom. Where are you located? I am a SEARS member. We have a great bunch of friendly rocketeers and the best on-site vendor, Chris Short's Rocket Supplies. The July launch was cancelled due to hot summer temps. Probably would have been a rain cancellation anyway. Our next launch is on September 7. Look forward to meeting you there. I see you have a nice Estes collection. We have a few like-minded members including myself who love LPR Estes kits finished to catalog perfection. We fly a lot of HPR too. I get the best of both worlds with upscales like my 5.5" Blue Bird Zero and 3" Orbital Transport.

The website still says its going forward. How did you get this information? If I hadn't read this thread, I'd have been there feeling like an idiot after after loading up and going on the 2.5 hour drive.

No need to apologize. I just wanted to know how to get information, and hoped it wasn't distributed by Facebook. Will Chris be there in September? I will need an H motor(s) for a Level 1 try, and want to be sure I have what I need when I get there.

Are you the one that launched the R2D2 last month?

I'll have several new rockets in September.

Thanks for the link.

Yes, I flew the 1/2 scale R2D2. Chris should be at the next launch. His schedule is on his website, csocketry.com. I should have a new 4" Goblin ready and will try the 4" Omega 2-stage again. See you in September. Good luck with L1!

Thanks for the heads up. I will try to get on the email list.

I am located in NW Florida, the launch site would be a 2.5 hour drive for me.

I sent the 'join' email.

Not sure I will make the planned launch this weekend. I have been informed by the wife that "Its just to damn hot!"
