I am suffering from a bout of severe cerebral flatulence. I have downloaded new motor files off Thrust Curve. Someone please detail step by step instructions as to how to add them into the default motor files of each of these programs. Both instruction manuals are very poor at describing the process. Thanks.

OpenRocket (2 ways):
1. Edit>Preferences>Add (user-defined thrust curve). Navigate to where you saved the motor file, click it, and click Add. Close the Preferences dialog box and restart OpenRocket. If you should ever move the location of the motor file, you'll need to re-add it with the new location.
2. Windows key + R > enter "%appdata%". Navigate to OpenRocket>Thrust Curves. Paste the motor file into this folder. I prefer this method because the motor files are always in OpenRocket no matter where you move it.

RASAero:
Navigate to Documents>RASAero II. In this folder you'll find a single .eng file that contains all of the program's thrust curves. Open rasp.eng with a text editing program (I prefer Notepad++) and also open the new motor file you downloaded. In your motor file, hit crtl+A then crtl+C to select everything and copy it. Switch to RASAero's rasp.eng and paste the text somewhere between or at the end of the other blocks of data. Make sure there's a semicolon before and after every block of motor data.

in RASAero, I just "save" the edited file and don't "save as", so that it is saved as the eng file and not a txt file.

Many thanks, both of you. I had done it before, just couldn't remember how.
