And the bonus decal. This is one of their album covers. I just had to include it!

I don't think it's ready to go into production just yet, but you are certainly welcome to copy the design. A 7.5" upscale would be nice. It should fit in your trailer.

Duplicolor Mirage purple-green is what I used on my Kraken. Did you ever get a chance to see it up close in person? I'm planning to try the blue-red at some point too. I've seen the MetalCast in some rocket photos around these parts, but haven't used it myself.

I like the look of the whole fin-can (just to add to the consensus)

of the color choices, i like the purple followed by a green of some sort. (not necessarily the shade in your initial color studies, something a little more intense maybe? metalCast might be a good choice - for this.)

Yeah, I saw it at Snow Ranch. It looks awesome in person!

You have good taste! LOL

Another fine looking creation ya got there Jim!

Thanks Rex! I must say, there is just something about this rocket. I love the size, the colors, and the look of the five fins. I hope it flies half as good as it looks!

Fantastic.... Now you just need a small speaker playing 'white knuckles' :)

It all came together REALLY WICKED COOL!!!!!
Thats going to be hard to follow.
Maybe a Five Finger Fillet?
Yup,thats a beauty for sure, that one just may be me favorite Norm Abram's build.

Yeah... Yeah, it would.... But you'd have to crank it right up to hear it over the roar of the motor.. But I guess it *would* make it easy to locate in long grass ;)

Krusty.

I thought about having the LCO play one of their songs over the PA as soon as he hits the launch button. Not sure how well that would go over though.

Why thank you, Scotty, that means a lot. I need to come up with a Scotty Dog seal of approval decal!

Very nice final result, I really like the color scheme. I am a huge fan of the Duplicolor metalcast products, but the undercoat does add alot to the effect and will leave you more content with coverage as transparent is what you are going for when you use the base coat. As a side note though, the purple is the most frustrating color of the series I have worked with (and I have used them all)...I have yet to get it just right.

Once again, very nice rocket.

The translucency makes sense, when you consider it's designed to be applied over a metallic undercoat. Oh well, hindsight is 20-20.

I laid out and attached the recovery harness. That's 2ft of 1/2" Kevlar ribbon, and 24ft (total) of 1/2" nylon webbing.

Yes it's rainbow. Yes it's ugly. But it's nylon, and it was cheap.

Left overs from Mork suspenders? I Like em but don't fit the metal theme. LOL
