Who's going? After 3 attempts to make other launches in other areas this year, I'm praying to Mother Nature to give us a break this time. Rain has been a rocketry nemesis for us east of the Mississippi. I got some new birds looking for a piece of the sky and I also really need to get out of my house....AAAAARRRRG!

I may not have all of the projects completed as I had hoped, but I'll definitely be there! I need to spend some time this week repairing some carnage from my previous 2 visits there...

Cheers,
Michael

Enjoy, if all goes right, I will be a part of a different type of flight.

I will be there in July.

I will be there with Starleopard on an M3500 KBA redline, my reskinned 6"SWAT on a Loki M1200 Spitfire, and various other carnage causing implements of wonderment!! Eric, Ken still has your fiberglass sheet.

Well, look me up when you get there. I'll be the guy with a rocket that looks like this.

I am definitely envious of your skills! These siblings are probably the best landmark for finding me:

Leo,

That is awesome. I have really enjoyed your altimeter thread.

I'm looking very much forward to it!

Maybe you'll see my world premiere air start flight, depending if I get the hardware put together in time.

I am going to try to make it, but there is alot going on next weekend around home. If Leo and Chuck are going to be there in July, I may get down there for sure then. Will see how the schedule shapes up for next weekend, gotta be back in Charlotte by 7:00pm though.

As long as the weather is good I will be there! Already have a K2000 Vmax built and am finishing up a cluster rocket for a 3 G250 cluster. Who knows, if that cluster goes well I can always put it up on 3 H410's!

Hope this doesn't jinx the event but there is some rain in the 10 DAY FORECAST. Done got rained out of 3 events this year. I don't put a lot on those long range forecasts but they have been right this year.

In 18 years of Orangeburg launches, only 1 has been completely rained out. It took a hurricane to do it. We've had probably a total of 5-6 days rained out over the same 18 years.

I should let Jim confirm this, but yes...Ken told me he would be delivering my order.

Cheers,
Michael

I just discovered he has a calendar on his site and we are indeed on that schedule. Thanks tho. I have SU G40 & G 80's for my Madcow Cricket & DX3 but in case I decided on reloads instead, I like knowing the options might be there.

I am going to edit the calendar or add on the site to indicate vendor presence.

A question for you regulars to the Orangeburg field (e.g. Pantherjon, cwbullet, jimzcatz). I've got some food questions:

1) is there an easy-to-get-to option for lunch other than Subway?
2) Do you have any recommendations for restaurants for evening meals - something other than fast food?

thanks!

Yes. I have quite a few black powder (Estes), if ken is not at the launches.

Does Ken usually have a selection of single-use motors?

Yes, Ken stocks pretty much everything Estes, CTI and Aerotech. Regarding food, we usually get together someplace in town, I like the House of Pizza, Greek family owned. You also have Chesters Chicken along with Subway at the Loves Truck Stop. And of course the world Famous Waffle House next door!!

Ken usually has a good assortment of AT single use motors including the new H's. Bring the rockets you want to fly and I am sure he'll have something for you!
