Just fired up FIP to program alt for launch tomorrow. Program said new version was available so I downloaded it. Trouble is Norton Sonar thinks its malware. This has happened before... Norton over reacting.

Hoping to get an "all clear" from someone in the know. Adrian?

...Fred

I down loaded it yesterday with no problem whatsoever.

I disabled my Norton Sonar the last time I downloaded the dev version of the FIP.

Sigh... saw that some time ago... if you look at the original FIP installation page at : https://www.here-and-beyond.com/Log.In/Altimeters.htm there is a section on Norton Sonar and how it generates many false positives for small developer software. I'll see if it can get added as "OK" but there is a link there also as to how to turn off Norton.

Let me know if it is really preventing you from installing it and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks!

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure the file was safe. Changed my Sonar setting to "Ask Me" so it now gives me a chance to keep it. Once downloaded now works fine and Sonar is quite.

So... what's the "central flight data repository" going to be?

No problems here Fred.
I'm running McAfee, Maleware bytes and neither pulled an alert.

ahhh... Sometimes I forget to put things in the rev history (Adrian pointed out it didn't contain a note for this particular fix) and sometimes I put something in that wasn't ready to be 'announced' - like one FIP update that had comments about the Raven3 (before it was ever announced)... the "central flight data repository" falls into the latter category...

Thanks for the latest FIP. Downloaded it today and opened my old files. Worked great. I plan to hook up the altimeters tonight.
