The LED additon is pretty neat. I have never seen someone do that.

Are you bringing SST to Snow Ranch on Saturday? Looking forward to seeing it fly!

Ari.

I thought about putting the cockpit decals on the body tube just behind the nose cone, but didn't. I really wish I had now. Not sure yet if I'm going to redo them or not.

A little bit of heat will remove those small wrinkles. use a hair dryer on high warm them up and smoothe them out they will be perfect!

Looking awesome man!

They look more like big creases than small wrinkles to me.

I don't think I'll have it ready to fly by this weekend. I still need to get a successful dual deploy flight under my belt, so if the weather is good, I'll be flying Milestone.

I discovered a slight clearance problem with the eyebolt nut on the forward av-bay bulkhead. So I decided to use a u-bolt instead.

This u-bolt is a 5/16", but I think it's overkill. I might try to find a 1/4" with the same width.

Won't all your wires be right up against the bulkhead with your terminals at the end like that?
See thats what I was talking about. I would have installed the altims with the terminals the other way around.

You were right. But I would have had to move the altimeters down to get clearance. It was easier to do the u-bolt.

OK Jim,
I have ordered and received my vinyl from Stickershock to build my own copy of this rocket. Just need a few more items before I can start the build.

That's awesome! It's a fun build.

I went ahead and replaced the 5/16" u-bolt with a 1/4". It was wider, so I had to fill the holes with epoxy and redrill it. Seems like a lot of effort, but it did save me 1.15oz. That surprised me.

I just started my Mini X-Plane in the MPR section. Looking good as usual, cap'n!

Jim, you could drill holes in the U-bolt back strap to lighten it.

Or you could just use washers and save a lot of weight.

The back plate is aluminum, so I don't think drilling holes in it would save that much weight. I think I'm happy with the way it is.

Can you flip the altimeters around like this? It might be more trouble than it's worth.
