That looks great. and is inspiring while I build my bullpup. I have finished the nose cone hat after a week of fiddling. it might have been two weeks if not for "borrowing" yours and others tips. I will be using that soda can exhaust idea too. Thanks for the build! Now if I can just get these darn paper transitions to look right

I can't wait to see paint and final details on your Exocet

Paul just a wonderful build thread. Really, please don't stop doing these thinking they are repetitive. And remember there are those of us lurkers scrutinizing every photo!

Honest. It's a wonder to see true craftsman, like so many on TRF, show there stuff.

And you are paying forward to those of us who aspire to raise our game to the level of craftsman such as yourself and those who'll search in the future and hopefully wind up here!

No modesty Sir! You know that your attention to detail, steady hand, and patience pays off handsomely. Da proof is in da pudding... and we ALL know!
Ya can't have your pudding if ya don't eat your meat!

Thanks for the lack of grizzle in the meat!
:handshake:

While I took some pics of my models ,I might as well show the type of aircraft that Argentina and France use as a platform to launch Exocets.

Dassault Etendard ,similar to this one.

Now you know ;)

Oh.. That is nicely done indeed. Allmy plastic is in the attic. I don't think I could focus on rockets and planes. :) besides those 1/72 ones were killing me

I only have so much space in my shop/corner/closet. I'd have to retool too often. But I still have boxes full of kits if I ever get the bug again.

Same here ,I still have a few that need building (about 50 )

Remarkable pieces indeed!!! Have you done
F111? F106? Or B58?
:D

No ,but have one in my stash.

Yes, done

No ,but have one in my stash.

That`s actually what got me into making aircraft models (although I did as a kid) The B-58 Hustler and the F-101 Voodoo.

Then after that, it just got out of hand

Have a bunch of WWII subjects and a few Luft 46 what ifs Those are cool.

This is one of my faves. It was a limited run and a tough build ,but I like a challenge ! Can you say Tamiya Filler ?

Cheers

The B-58 was a strange beast. Books about SAC bombers filled my imagination every time I went to the public library in the late 60's. IMO arguably the most elegant (BadAzz) jet ever produced.

The F-106A/B was my first assignment in the Air Force (Castle AFB, CA), and the F-111 the second (RAF Upper Heyford and Cannon AFB, NM).

The F-111 even tho a successful cold warrior in my day (78 to 81) went on to glory in the Gulf before hitting the bone yard.

Ever do PMC? Seems you'd be a natural (AND WIN!).

Indeed you'd be a good scale competitor oui?
 :handshake:

I almost forgot to post my pictures of the finished Exocet ,that I finally finished this past Autumn.

Here`s a few for now until I take a few more.

Thanks for looking.

As always a true work of art. Thanks for sharing, I need to give more of the TLP kits a try a lot of sweet rockets to be had.

TA

Dude!!! What were you thinking???? All that drag?? Whats with you? You Canadians... I swear... Listen, just slap on a few peel-n-stick decals and be done with it! Have you any idea what you are doing to the CD of that model rocket??

Look at all that detail!!! Don't you understand all the newton-seconds you are robbing from the universe? :surprised::surprised::rant::rant: You could wind up in front of the altitude tribunal!!! And you don't want to be messin' with them!!!

I know Jeff ,I know...but we Canadians are known for our nice manners and friendly demeanor and beer......we know nothing and care not for the laws of drag coefficients and care less about the CP/CG relationship.

And I`m not sure if you Yanks know this ,but up here ,epoxy flows like Maple Syrup ,so I use plenty of that too !

We build it,slide it on the launch rod ,stand a good safe distance away (at least 5-7 feet away) and push the button.

Take care !!

How do you find a Canadian in a crowded room?

Start stepping on toes, and wait for someone to apologize to you.....

IT`S TRUE........oops......sorry for shouting EH !
