Search on YouTube: Rick Beato Tool Schism. Rick breaks down "what makes this song great". You'll never hear Schism the same way again. It's unreal. 50-something meter changes IIRC
...and then spend the rest of the month watching about 1000 other Rick Beato videos. They are awesome.

I'm not a Tool fan and haven't watched that particular video... I will add it to my playlist. Here it is:

I opened this pic and immediately saw the tail cone with fins on the left in the pile of junk. Center is the form for a bucking bull they put in bars and on the right is a big ass motor tube with centering rings. Or am I just verifying my usual oddness? :headspinning:

Edit: and yes that is a steep gangplank. Hope you had stickum for your shoes. :)

Sir, you assume that just because the aluminum is corroded and the padding is pipe insulation held on with electrical tape and hope, this is junk. Feh! They are perfectly good loading chutes! 😀

These guys stick into round hatches in the top of the holds so that it's easier to slide the crab from the sorting table into the holds. They are in perfectly good condition for that purpose, and probably for any rocket structure except a motor casing. Of course, if your motor mount is 24" diameter, you're doing something exciting!

The gangplank had this stuff for decking. It definitely has a grip, but it's a bastard if you do manage to fall on it.

I forgot you used to get actual ranks in older Halo games. I miss Halo Reach, or whichever one had the special abilities like the jet pack

The Master Chief Collection has tried to integrate the better part of the games through Halo 4.

Yeah reaches the one with the abilities, and I really love that one back when it came out. It was nice to Play It Again over on PC. Halo 4 has armor abilities too, and a built-in print function. I'll be interested to get infinity once it comes out in the price drops a tad. Save that money for Rocket Motors after all

Replaced the battery in my car.
Decided to go premium instead of economy this time.
Sick and tired of replacing the battery every 3 years or so.
If I can get 6 years out of this one I'll be happy.
And it looks so radical.
Laters.

Just go back from a bike ride and was reminded why I don't like riding in wind. Heading south and west, I had to fight for every mile.
The Netherlands produces some really strong riders, though their country is dead flat. What they do have is wind.
Typically, their training rides are out and back. Out against the wind and back with the wind. Does wonders for their fitness.

yesterday, slept till noon, got a haircut with a "Happy Ending" from my wife, kids and grandkids came over for pizza and to let the little ones open presents.

Rainy, windy day today. Yardwork is out.
While browsing Netflix stumbled on "The Midnight Sky".
Directed by and starring George Clooney, who I didn't recognize at first.
Mixed reviews by critics.
Not your typical space/sci-fi movie, more a human relationships movie.
A little bit of a twist ending at the end, which elicited some knocks by critics.
I enjoyed it. 4 out of 5 stars.

I started watching it a couple of nights ago. Should finish it up tonight. I'm enjoying it. Clooney plays a curmudgeon quite well.

Too cold outside, was on the ham radio a little, watched that Rick Beato video again. Wonder what program he uses to break down all those individual parts? amazing

When the ground is cold put a space blanket under your sleeping bag. It really helps maintaining your body heat.
Got down to 24 over night. Ground was already frozen so we had a hard time staking in the tents and wind break but overall it was a good trip. Geese, loons, and coyotes sang us to sleep and the squirrels and gulls woke us up. DNR guy was surprised anyone showed up to camp. We had the entire state park to ourselves.

Got to work planing down the second of two canoe paddles. An hour and a half of aerobic exercise and I'll be pretty sore tomorrow.

Try the Mylar Space Blanket sometime. It makes a big difference in keeping warm. And once during the summer I was on a canoe trip in the BWCA and came down with something, I was running a fever. We were camped on an island and there wasn't much shade. The mosquitos were bad so I needed to stay in the tent while the others in my group took a day trip. With the sun beating down on my tent it was terribly hot. Then I remembered I had a space blanket with me so I put it over the tent. The temp inside dropped maybe 20 degrees & made it barrable. I always keep one on hand when I camp.

I've seen them used before but never tried one myself. I'll have to pick one up and try it out.

Is that the Boundary Waters? I used to make almost annual trips up to the Boundary Waters of Minnesota, its beautiful up there.

Mine wasn't Imo's or Pino's. I was at Wash U, and the choices were Domino's or some on campus garbage.

I grew up in what I call "the pizza triangle", which is from The Bronx to Queens to Trenton. Outside of that one can get good pizza, but the further away the harder it is to find. Chicago pizza is a whole other thin, and one day I'll have to go to Chicago to have it made right, 'cause the stuff at Pizzaria Uno is not good, but I know does not do the style justice.

Provelle sounds like it'd be fine on a sandwich, but it's got no business being on a pizza. Pizza is made with mozzarella. Period. You may sprinkle on some parmesan at the table if you like.
If you were at Wash U, I'm sure you had some of the best pizza in town at Talaynas?! It wasn't Imo's style STL pizza, but man was it good! Bacon Jalepeno was the bomb!!

I was there in the '82-'83 school year, and didn't get off camput much. The highlight of my culinary week was usually a walk to Naugles. Sometimes in the wee hours when one would have to walk through the drive through (not that that was bad; a midnight Naugles run was fun). And I literally never had any good pizza. As far as I could tell there simply was no good pizza. Period. (Not that I mightn't have been wrong, but that was my experience at the time.)

(I also never saw the arch, never got downtown, and I'm not sure I ever actually got into St. Louis proper, as opposed to University City, where the campus is. I lived in a dorm suite with five other guys and no one had a car. And I went through a semester long bought of undiagnosed depression, which is why I was only there for one year.)
